The Season of Growth

Around this time of year, we see a lot of people achieving something that took much time, effort, and patience.

We pour into huge arenas, fill a bunch of empty seats, and share tears of joy as we watch the people we love, graduate.
Growing
Year after year we celebrate those we love. They have completed a level and will move on to the next obstacle, task, goal, or achievement. This is not that different from what we do in our every day lives.
Year after year, we shed old behaviors, people, or things. We receive promotions, new business partners, friends, memories, and so on. We begin to acknowledge the trend that is embedded in the term GROWTH. Whether you are growing physically, mentally, financially, or spiritually, you will grow. If you try to avoid growth, it will force you to move forward and sometimes that force of nature can be painful. Pain doesn't equal the end, because God can turn everything around for your good, but are you willing to do the same?
Something that is common amongst people who are in their early 20's all the way to the mid 30's, is their need to grow and that typically involves outgrowing people. It is inevitable. It will happen whether or not you intended it to.
With growth comes humility. With growth comes patience, with growth comes a cheerful spirit. When you begin to grow, nothing or no one can stop the shift.
What's scary though is that we tend to intervene with our growth. It's true that change is scary, but are you subconsciously limiting your own potential to avoid that uncomfortable feeling that's attached to growth?
Toxic People

Are you holding on to toxic people? Are you holding on to bad habits? Are you choosing temporary comfort over your destiny?
New year new me seems to fall short around the first or second week in February. We forget why we wanted to change this or that, and we also give up because we can easily "try again next year" but what if next year you're extremely sick? What if next year you lose your job? Then your plans will be forced to change from what you wanted this year, in this moment. Procrastination.
Understand that growth is essential to you becoming and living your best life. God put it in your heart for a reason. His plans are not yours, so if you aren't aligned, He'll postpone your plans and you'll start over until you get it right.
Don't waste your time, your destiny, your vision, or your promise.
When you decide that there will come a point, in time, where being uncomfortable means that you're about to grow, you will then embrace change and let the things that aren't meant to be, leave.
